Civilization VI's New Frontier Pass is a new season pass that will introduce eight new civilizations and nine new leaders, six new game modes and more to the acclaimed strategy game.
The upcoming content will be released across six DLC packs that will drop on a bimonthly basis from May 2020 to March 2021. Some features require either the Gathering Storm or Rise and Fall expansions to play.
Today's first look at the Gran Colombia pack that will be available on May 21 revealed more than just its leader - Simon Bolivar.
Bolivar's unique ability is named Campagna Ammirabile and it will automatically grant Gran Colombia their unique unit when entering a new era. The Gran Colombia unique unit is the Commandante General. The Commandante General units have a broad range of active and passive effects.
The unique units can add combat strength to nearby units, grant instant upgrades, provide additional trade routes and more.
The Llanero is another unique unit that enjoys music and replaces the usual cavalry units. This unit will become stronger when adjacent to other Llaneros. If a Commandante General is nearby, this will activate Llaneros' special ability - health recovery.
Gran Colombia's unique ability is Ejercito Partiota which grants additional movement to all units. Promoting a unit will not end their turn.
The Hacienda is Gran Colombia's unique improvement. These can be built on all manner of terrains - plains, hills and grassland. This unique improvement will give additional production - gold and housing. Building the Haciendas near each other gives further food and production.
