Cloud Imperium Games announced another round of free trials for potential fans wishing to dip their toes in Star Citizen - a promise of a no-compromise PC game that delivers premium experience.
Star Citizen has been controversial for years now due to not fully releasing despite a massive crowdfunded budget and eight years of development but the stern fans keep pouring support, simply wishing for a game that doesn't fall for compromising features to accommodate weaker systems, along with other promises.
This outlook was seen as naive by some onlookers and if you are wishing to see which side is right by experiencing Star Citizen without paying the entry fee, you will be able to do so during the new Free Fly event, which will kick off on November 20 and wrap up on December 2, 2020.
In order to give Chris Roberts' vision a shot, you will need to:
- Create an account
- Download Star Citizen
- Start the game
When you complete these steps, the game will provide an Origin 100i starter ship for the duration of the event but you will have additional options to explore as new companies make their fleets temporarily available at no cost.
The companies offering their ships for preview are:
- Consolidated Outland, Argo, Greycat - November 20-21
- Including the new Nomad starter ship
- Aegis Dynamics - November 21-22
- Anvil Aerospace - November 22-23
- Crusader, Tumbril, Kruger - November 23-24
- MISC - November 24-25
- Drake Interplanetary - November 25-26
