Cloud Imperium Games launched yet another free flight week event in Star Citizen, hoping to get a few more players interested in the space sim.
Star Citizen keeps breaking crowdfunding records but also remains controversial, with the latest instance being the tone of the announcement that the roadmap would be discontinued after the goals from it were not reached. Fans didn't take it lightly but everything seems to be moving forward as CIG are looking to bring more fresh players.
This resulted in another Free Fly event, the first one of 2022. It has kicked off and will last until February 25, 2022. During that time, newcomers will be able to check out five ships:
- RSI Aurora MR
- Origin 100i
- Consolidated Outland Nomad
- Drake Cutlass Black
- MISC Prospector
Additionally, players who are looking for more ships have an opportunity to do so at a discount while the Starter Packs are at lowered prices. The discounts range from 10 to 30 per cent.
Another way of encouraging recruitment takes form in CIG's referral bonuses where existing players can acquire armour and a weapon in exchange for bringing their friends aboard. On top of that, there is a bonus of 5,000 aUEC for sharing your referral code so make sure you share it with friends instead of having them sign up on their own.
