Sony reveal PSVR2 details and announce Horizon Call of the Mountain VR title

During CES 2022, Sony have officially revealed a ton of details about their upcoming PlayStation VR 2 and announced a brand new VR game from Guerrilla - Horizon Call of the Mountain.

Sony had quite an eventful CES 2022 when it comes to PlayStation content. The Japanese tech giant revealed a lot of things including a ton of details for PlayStation VR2, their next-gen VR device, as well as a brand new VR game set in the Horizon Forbidden West universe. 

PlayStation VR2 will rock OLED panel with resolution 2000 x 2040 per eye. Panel refresh rate is in the range of 90 to 120 Hz which means support for up to 120 FPS. The headset also has four cameras and IR camera for eye tracking per eye. 

It utilises USB Type-C and features a built-in microphone as well as a stereo headphone jack. PSVR 2 Sense controllers will have haptic feedback and adaptive triggers for an additional layer of immersion. You can check out the full technical details about PSVR 2 on  Sony's blog.

As for the exclusive PSVR 2 game, it's a Horizon franchise title and is currently in development at Guerrilla Games and Firesprite. The devs promise the next level of AAA VR experience that players haven't seen before. 

Whether that's true or not, we will find out sometime in the near future. At the moment, the game does not have a release date.
