Polish studio Bloober Team, known for their psychological horror titles, including the recent hit Silent Hill 2 Remake, are partnering up with Konami once again, to work on a new game based on Konami's IP.
At the moment, it's not clear what this franchise is but If we had to guess, we'd say this is another game set in the Silent Hill universe, potentially a remake of the first Silent Hill game. Konami will obviously publish this game, just like Silent Hill 2 Remake.
Bloober Team CEO Piotr Babieno said the dev team cannot reveal too many details at this time but are confident that players will be as excited about this new game as much as they are. He added that Bloober and Konami will share more details when the time is right.
In the official press release, Konami and Bloober stated that the success of Silent Hill 2 Remake, which scored 86/100 rating on Metacritic and 88/100 on OpenCritic, built trust between the two companies and laid the foundation for signing this new agreement.
Interstingly, Bloober also said this deal brings them closer to their strategic plan to expand the internal development division within a first-part y framework. Acquisition imminent?
This new game from Bloober Team and Konami will be coming to PC, Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5 so no Sony exclusivity luckily.
We could be hearing more about the project later this year but don't expect it to be released before 2026 as making games takes time.
