Middle-Earth: Shadows of War has apparently had some optimisation work done to it, according to the updated hardware requirements for the game. It should now be a little lighter on your rig. In addition, some story bits have been revealed about a certain evil thing in spider-form.

More story details have also been revealed, in the form of the trailer above. Shelob, the giant evil spider you may be familiar with from LOTR lore already, can now seemingly switch between femme-fatale and spider mode at will. Understandable choice, if you want your characters to be able to interact with her in a straightforward manner.

According to the trailer, she also seems to be driving a wedge between the two protagonists. It all looks as flat and predictable as the what passed for a story in Shadow of Mordor, but hey - you never know. Things might turn out well for the 5 people who will actually be playing this for the story - and not the chance to lead an orc army against Sauron.
