SEGA have announced a total of five new games at The Game Awards including a new Jet Set Radio, Crazy Taxi, Streets if Rage and more.

In one of the biggest announcements at The Game Awards last night, Japanese publisher Sega dropped a megaton by revealing that they are rebooting a total of five iconic and beloved series.

The five projects currently in the works at Sega's internal studios include Jet Set Radio, Crazy Taxi, Shinobi, Golden Axe and Streets of Rage. This will certainly come as a massive surprise to all Sega fans but it's indeed happening so start those hype engines.

After many years of sitting on dormant IPs and not doing nearly enough in terms of video game output, the publisher decided it's time to roll up its sleeves and give players what they've been asking for all these years.

The trailer that Sega showcased gave us a look at all of these upcoming titles and we have to say every single one of them looks really exciting, especially Crazy Taxi and Jet Set Radio. Interestingly, Sega teased even more projects, stating that this is just the start of their new roadmap.

"Today's announcement is just the start of our initiative. First and foremost, our ambition will be to create great games with memorable characters and worlds. We hope fans of all ages will look towards our future with anticipation as we release these projects in the coming years," said Sega's Shuji Utsumi.
