Grand Theft Auto 6 has been the major talking point all over the internet for the past eleven or so hours since Rockstar officially revealed the first trailer for this long-awaited title.
Elon Musk, the owner of social media X and space engineering company SpaceX joined in on the discussions, revealing that he really isn't a fan of the globally popular franchise for one particularly weird reason.
Musk replied to a post of one X employee, stating that he only tried GTA 5 but didn't like it because it "required shooting police officers" and "doing crime". Elon said that he "just couldn't do it".
Here's the full quote: "Tried, but didn’t like doing crime. GTA5 required shooting police officers in the opening scene. Just couldn’t do it"
Elon refers to the opening sequence in GTA 5, which does indeed require shooting a large number of police officers who are trying to stop Michael, Trevor and the crew from robbing the bank.
It's only the first of many heists and missions in GTA 5's story which require shooting at police so it's good that Musk gave up here, otherwise, he would absolutely hate it later on during the notorious torture mission.
Given that he didn't really like GTA 5, it's safe to assume that he won't be touching GTA 6 either when it officially releases.
And while everyone is certainly entitled to their opinion, no matter how dumb it may be, we have to say that we don't quite get Musk's comments on this one.
It's just a video game for adults and that's pretty much it. Some would say that Musk's X social media allows even worse content, which does make his comments about GTA 5 seem a bit hypocritical.
