Telltale's adaptation of the comic book The Walking Dead that started back in 2012 is slowly closing to an end. They announced that the game is going to release in August for PC, Xbox, PS4 and later on in the year for Nintendo Switch.
Telltale's announcement came alongside the trailer for The Walking Dead adaptation of Robert Kirkman’s comic book. The developer said how they are going to release game's final chapter on 14 August 2018.
When the game first came out back in 2012 it charmed many fans and critics alike with unique graphics and heartbreaking moments. Season 4 has been announced with four episodes with the first one being released on 14 August 2018.
In the final season of the game, we will have the opportunity to see Clementine much older with a purpose of closing her survival to an end. She will be accompanied by AJ, the orphaned boy she fostered in the previous seasons.
In the trailer, AJ is being highly focused on and is being questioned by Clementine on what are the rules of survival in their post-apocalyptic world. "After years on the road facing threats both living and dead, a secluded school might finally be Clementine's chance for a home. But protecting it will mean sacrifice."
The new season will feature additions to the game such as over-the-shoulder camera view which promises to give player more freedom of exploration. Developer of the popular franchise said how they are going to treat the fans with a special "unscripted battles" vs the Walkers.
With the Switch seemingly a prime recipient for the zombie formula, Telltale will join the bandwagon releasing The Walking Dead S4 on Nintendo Switch later in the year. Unfortunately, we can't say for sure that the previous seasons of the game will be arriving for the console as well.
Having watched the new trailer, we can expect more about the game at the annual E3 convention on 12 June 2018. The Final Season will be available for PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch.
