It looks like the rumoured Silent Hill PS5 exclusive is set to be officially announced at Sony's PlayStation 5 event, which is currently scheduled for June 3 2020, according to reliable sources.
Over the last couple of months, Silent Hill franchise has been subject of many rumours over the social media, Reddit and gaming forums. Reliable sources like Dusk Golem aka Aesthetic Gamer claim that the game is indeed in development and will be exclusive to PlayStation 5.
Konami denied these rumours , saying that there is no Silent Hill game in the works at the moment but despite this, the rumours have only become more frequent in the last month. Today, we got a report claiming that Sony have finally set the date for the PlayStation 5 event. Apparently, it's taking place on June 5 2020 and this could be the place for Silent Hill reveal too.
Aesthetic Gamer claims that Silent Hill will be at the PlayStation 5 show but since Sony have been delaying the event for several times now, it's possible that Silent Hill ends up on one of the future events, which are scheduled for upcoming weeks.
"I still think [Silent Hill will] be at the first reveal event due to some things, it is a PS5 exclusive game and presentable so it's likely to stick," he explained. "But I also can see a scenario Sony shifts things to later"
The reveal on June 3 2020 does seem pretty likely since Silent Hill is a huge franchise and it would be a great answer to Microsoft's fantastic showcase of horror titles earlier this month. Luckily, we will not have to wait for too long since the PS5 event is just around the corner.
As always, you should take all this info with a grain of salt, just like any other leak, rumour or unconfirmed info despite Dusk Golem's credibility.
