The campaign for the recently announced PlayStation 5 exclusive horror game Abandoned is either pure genius or a total mess. The game, which is being developed by a small, Netherlands-based indie studio Blue Box has only been teased with a simple trailer but PlayStation fans can't stop talking about it online.
Thanks to Blue Box's cryptic tweets, which include a message that their game starts with an "S" and ends with an "L", the fans think Abandoned is actually a Silent Hill game, made by Kojima Productions. Why would Sony promote the game in this weird way, you may ask? Well, it would not be the first time that Kojima is playing tricks with his fans.
Today, Blue Box have confirmed that their trailer app, which was supposed to launch today, has been delayed to August 2021, which added even more fuel to the fire. Now Silent Hill fans have started speculating that this is clearly some play by the devs, since no one would actually delay the trailer on the day it's supposed to be shown.
And they clearly have a point. Everything is either just a big ploy or Abandoned devs are really really bad at fulfilling their promises. Either way, it shouldn't take long before we find out wether this game has something to do with Silent Hill since August is coming soon and Sony are also rumoured to be hosting their big games showcase in July.
