According to the latest rumours, Sucker Punch Productions may be working on a Ghost of Tsushima sequel named Ghost of Ikishima. The game is reportedly targeting the 2021 release date and will be a smaller title, not a fully-fledged sequel.
Ghost of Tsushima, Sucker Punch Productions' critically acclaimed samurai action-adventure could be getting a sequel very soon. Rumour has it, a smaller standalone title might be coming in 2021, named Ghost of Ikishima.
This is according to industry insider Nick Baker aka Shpeshal_Nick and YouTuber Dealer Gaming. Apparently, the game will not be a fully-fledged sequel but a smaller experience, similar to Spider-Man: Miles Morales or Gears 5: Hivebusters.
Both of these games are of course standalone experiences but not proper sequels.
Sony are yet to officially announce such a title so we suggest you take this with a grain of salt until we get more details. That being said, the rumours are pretty strong at the moment so we would not be surprised if the game indeed exists and gets revealed in the coming months.
A perfect opportunity for the official reveal would be Sony's big games showcase, which is rumoured to be coming sometime in July 2021.
All in all, this would be a nice surprise for all fans of Ghost of Tsushima at the rumoured show but sadly that's ruined now thanks to the leaks. Hopefully, though, the trailer will look spectacular and blow us away despite the leaks.
