Ghost of Tsushima has been reportedly delisted in all PSN-incompatible countries a few days before its worldwide release.

Sony's Ghost of Tsushima has been a staple exclusive for its consoles, PlayStation 4 and 5. The game was initially released in 2020 on PlayStation 4 and later on rereleased with a Director's Cut for PlayStation 5.

After 4 years and lots of anticipation from PC players, Sony has decided to bring Ghost of Tsushima Director's Cut to PC. The game will be available for purchase on Steam and Epic Games. However, players looking to purchase the game on Steam might have to go through a major issue.

According to latest reports, Ghost of Tsushima has been reportedly delisted in 177 countries on Steam, making it unavailable for purchase. This decision comes in line with Sony's new policy which requires PC players to link a PSN account with all PlayStation and Sony published titles.

This new policy was first implemented for Helldivers 2 which was negatively perceived by the whole PC gaming community. Sony made their point even more firm by delisting Helldivers 2 from 177 PSN-incompatible countries. However, Sony had to backtrack on their decision following a mass negative review and refund spree from the Helldivers 2 player base on Steam.

Ghost of Tsushima is now unavailable in 177 countries on Steam.

The SteamDb page for Ghost of Tsushima shows that the game will be restricted for 177 countries worldwide due to the unavailability of PSN accounts. However, previously Sucker Punch had mentioned that the single player mode will not require a PSN account link, rather it will only be required for the coop Legends mode.

It is interesting to see Sony make the same mistake again considering the hype Ghost of Tsushima coming to PC had created. This decision will surely hamper the sale of all future PlayStation titles coming to PC including the most-awaited God of War: Ragnarok which is reportedly the upcoming Sony title. Fortunately, the game is still available on Epic Games Store for purchase in most delisted countries.
