Rocket League is getting a crossover event with Netflix's TV series Stranger Things. The Halloween event will bring a revamped arena and Stranger Things-themed cosmetics.
As Halloween is just around the corner, many developers are starting to reveal the special, spooky events for their games. Psyonix Studio, the creators of Rocket League have no intention to skip the celebrations and have officially announced a crossover event named Haunted Hallows, which brings Netflix's award-winning TV series Stranger things to Rocket League.
Haunted Hallows officially kicks off on Monday, 14 October 2019 and it brings several new cosmetic items such as banners, other autumn-inspired items and some "top secret wares developed by the Hawkins National Laboratory that will turn your Battle-Car creations up to Eleven".
For proper Halloween celebrations, Psyonix also have a makeover for one of their arenas. Farmstead will get a brand new look and during the event, it will be named The Upside Down, which is an alternate dimension existing in parallel to the human world in Stranger Things.
"This terrifying take on the once-whimsical Farmstead Arena is watched over by the maddening Mind Flayer, so make sure to look after your teammates," it's written in the official description.
Players that make it out of Farmstead with their Battle-Cars will earn Candy Corn, which can be used in the Haunted Hallows Event Store. Just like in the previous in-game events, there will be a three-day Redemption Period where players can use the extra Candy Corn in the Event Store. This means that once the Halloween event ends on 11 November 2019, you'll get three more days to spend your hard-earned corn.
As for the new items, there is a Stranger Things-themed boost, Hawaiian Hopper Decal, Spider Boogie Decal, StarCourt Wheels and TimberTyre Wheels. You can take a look a closer look at these in the image below.
Rocket League is available on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch.
