Nacon came swinging on their showcase with a brand new Robocop game in tow, appropriate subtitle, Rogue City.
Robocop franchise is celebrating 35-year anniversary in 2022 and there will probably be a lot of festivities when the time comes across various types of media that featured the unstoppable cop. Video games, however, will celebrate it a year earlier and a year later.
Namely, Nacon recently announced a brand new Robocop game in 2021 and it's set to release in 2023. Robocop: Rogue City is in development by Teyon, the studio that made Terminator: Resistance, which proved to be liked by fans and critics alike, which is not a regular occurrence these days.
Anyway, there isn't much info about the game currently, except that it will feature a new Robocop story and the devs will be looking to keep it authentic in order to preserve the franchise's DNA as well as immerse the players in this original story. Considering how well Teyon did with Terminator: Resistance, we are inclined to believe the game will deliver in those aspects.
The teaser trailer lives up to its title as it just provides a few teases so if you were hoping to see a glimpse of gameplay, you are not in luck. There is only a brief moment where we see Murphy about to pull out the Auto-9.
