A new cosmetic item has been discovered in the League of Legends Public Beta Environment files, according to a recent tweet from Skin Spotlights.

A brand-new cosmetic item has shown up in the League of Legends Public Beta Environment files, if a new tweet from Skin Spotlights is any indication.

It would seem this latest addition is going to enhance the visual experience of the game in a pretty cool way. Cosmetics have constituted one of the oldest parts of League of Legends, as content is always added to the game by Riot Games to keep the game fresh.

These usually come as skins, which are used by players to change the look of their favorite champions. For the last couple of years, Riot has been trying to extend their cosmetic offerings besides the usual skins, such as emotes, icons, and borders.

This is where the newest cosmetic addition called Nexus Finisher fits into the quest of Riot to diversify their in-game offerings. Well, what is a Nexus Finisher, then?

Details are scant, but from the name, one would imagine only an animation that plays when a team destroyer's Nexus, similar to finishing animations seen in Teamfight Tactics, another popular title from Riot Games.

The Nexus Finisher will no doubt add an awesome flourish of polish at the end of matches and will make the last moments of a game even more action-packed and memorable.

As it stands, Riot hasn't announced when this cosmetic will be fully functional or how it can be unlocked, but if it follows other cosmetics, it could be an event exclusive or available for purchase in-game.

The closer players get to an official release, the more information is likely to be given, but for now, the players will once again get excited for another layer of visual flair added to the League of Legends experience.
