The official League of Legends website has posted an interesting article about the game's plans for the future. The upcoming changes include Elemental Rift and rune adjustments, as well as numerous ADC buffs.
League of Legends Lead Gameplay Designer, Mark Yetter, also known as Riot Scruffy, has released the weekly "Quick Gameplay Thoughts" article where he mentioned a number of changes we will most likely see in the foreseeable future.
The first part of the article talks about the new adjustments to two Elemental Rifts - Internal and Cloud. The Infernal Rift will have additional Blast Cones in the jungle and Alcoves while the changes to the Cloud Rift will cause new Scryers Blooms to spawn in the jungle. Also, the wind speed areas will have an increased effect for champions that are out of combat.
Further on they revealed their plans to buff some particular keystones, minor runes, and Ghost. When it comes to keystones, we will have changes to Guardian and Predator. Guardian will have its area of effect increased as well as the trigger mechanic changes from "any damage" to "a significant burst of damage".
Predator will get its channel time, cooldown and damage decreased which could cause the rune to be used more often in some other roles that are not jungle.
Unflinching will get its tenacity increased from 10 per cent flat to 10 - 30 per cent, depending on how low your HP is. Approach Velocity will now grant movement speed towards a crowd controlled enemy. The changes to Ghost aren't definitive yet but the acceleration part of the Spell could get removed.
After going back and forth on the Bot lane buffs, the balance team opted for changes that will improve the ADC's defensive power in the game. The current set of changes include:
- Base health increased by 30 for any
- Health per level increased by 2 HP
- Zeal - movement speed increased from 5 to 7 per cent
- Phantom Dancer, Rapid Fire Canon, and Statikk Shiv - movement speed increased from 5 to 7 per cent
- Runaan's Hurricane - movement speed increased from 7 to 9 per cent
While the bot lane buffs are intended to go live on Patch 10.11, the Elemental Rift and Rune changes are scheduled for the following patch.
