Resident Evil Village Gold Edition was shown during the Capcom Showcase, being one of the better announcements in an otherwise barren event.
Capcom Showcase was pretty light on content as fans didn't get to see much from the upcoming heavy hitters like Street Fighter VI and Dragon's Dogma fans got trolled by an announcement for an announcement. However, one of the better parts of the showcase was Resident Evil Village Gold Edition, which will provide more content for the fans who have been hoping to get some love.
Gold Edition has three highlights, with the third-person mode being what is possibly the smallest edition, although it's a more than welcome one. Players will be able to see Ethan this time around, giving the game that Resident Evil vibe from before first-person days.
Mercenaries Additional Orders is the second addition and is more content-heavy than a different camera perspective as it brings along new playable characters and stages to the Mercenaries mode. This includes Lady Dimitrescu, which can lead to some fun situations, given your newfound height advantage over the enemies.
The third, and possibly the most significant addition, is Shadows of Rose story expansion. It will feature Rosemary, Ethan's daughter, as the protagonist. It is set sixteen years after the events of Resident Evil Village.
Unsurprisingly, Rose's powers have been a source of trouble for her and she is now looking for a way to get rid of them, arriving to a location where a certain man is claiming he can do it for her.
