It looks like Capcom may have plans for another Resident Evil remake game. In the latest survey over at Capcom Asia website, the publisher asked players if they would be interested in buying another remake title from the Resident Evil series.
After two big remakes - Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 3 - many fans of the iconic horror franchise are wondering what is next for the old Resident Evil games and whether Capcom have more plans for remasters or full remakes.
The Japanese publisher did not comment on this possibility, which suggests that they have other plans. This has been also confirmed by a reliable leaker Dusk Golem , who claims that there will not be any more Resident Evil remakes out for "the next few years" after Resident Evil 3.
However, in the latest survey over at Capcom Asia website , the publisher have asked an interesting question. They want to know if you would be interested in buying another Resident Evil Remake title, if such a game ever released.
"If a new remake title of Resident Evil series is released, would you like to purchase?" Capcom asked in the survey.
This, of course, suggests that Capcom are open to more remakes and are in the process of gathering data before they make any major decisions. Now, the big question is: Which game will they choose for their next remake?
Players would certainly love Resident Evil 4 Remake but some suggest that Resident Evil - Code: Veronica is a bigger possibility since it released just a year after the original Resident Evil 3. Resident Evil 4, on the other hand, is one of the best if not the best game in the series so it is certainly one of the major candidates for a remake.
Of course, this is just speculation since there is nothing official at the moment and it will probably stay that way for a while since Capcom are busy with the rumoured Resident Evil 8.
