Last month, we got some speculation based on a couple of lines of text on Rockstar's official website, that a Red Dead Redemption PC port may be in the works. Since then, we didn't get any new rumours about this exciting project but today, players have seemingly discovered additional proof that Rockstar's classic is soon hitting the PC platform.
In the recent Epic Games Store database leak, fans have noticed a very mysterious title "semla Staging" which doesn't mean much to us on its own. However, when taking a closer look at additional details shared by Rockstar news reporter Ben, the file size of this project is pretty much identical to the recent Red Dead Redemption PlayStation 4 release, which led players to believe that this could be a PC port for the iconic Western.
The similar download size tells us that this will probably be the same version, without any additional features over the PlayStation 5 port, which is a shame, as I was really hopeful that Rockstar Games would kick it up a notch to make this a truly great release.
But even if the potential Red Dead Redemption PC port doesn't come with some sweet features like improved textures, visuals and more, PC modding community will certainly get busy and make the game quite the looker before you even know it.
Hopefully, we'll get that official confirmation from Rockstar Games soon as Red Dead Redemption would certainly be a welcomed release on PC, even though it's been so many years since the game's initial release on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
