Rainbow SIx Siege's fourth season is now live. The season brings a new Operator, a reworked map and a whole new Battle Pass. The game also has a free weekend incoming.
Ubisoft just announced the launch of Rainbow Six Siege Year 6's fourth and final season. High Calibre is now available on PlayStation 4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and PC. High Calibre introduces a bunch of new updates along with Thorn, the Operator from Ireland, a reworked Outback map, new default team colours, a fresh Battle Pass with an exotic weapon skin and more.
High Calibre's new Operator: Thorn
The freshest face to join Rainbow Six Siege's roster is Thorn and her Razorbloom Shell, the throwable proximity device that, once activated, kicks off a countdown to a blast. If an enemy player lingers around Razorbloom Shell for too long, they will end up on the business end of some damage at the end of the fuse timer.
Thorn is a medium speed, medium armour Operator, and her loadout consists of the new custom made UZK50Gi or the M870 as primary weapons and the 1911 TACOPS or the C75-AUTO as secondary weapons.
High Calibre presents: the reworked Outback map
The Outback map got a facelift that will hopefully improve balancing and player comfort. Outback's main building and its exterior have been tweaked to allow the attacking team to dream up and execute more effective strategies. The main building now also boasts some new soft walls.
Outback's junk piles have been cleaned up and its areas refurbished, all with the intention of balancing the game and providing better lines of sight.
High Calibre Battle Pass
The new Battle Pass comes with 100 tiers and 131 rewards, all available until February 21, 2021. The Battle Pass includes a free and a Premium track available for 1200 R6 Credits. Owners of the Premium Battle Pass can play and progress as Thorn as soon as she's available, and others can unlock her with Renown or R6 Credits starting on December 14, 2021.
New seasonal content including the Outback rework, new default team colours, new HUD and operator updates are available right now for free and for all players.
Additional updates coming with High Calibre include:
- Default team colours are now blue and red, with the opponent being always in red.
- New HUD.
- Balancing updates (Finka, Echo and Mozzie’s drones, bulletproof cameras update).
