Project Motor Racing, the upcoming sim racer from GIANTS Software and Straight4 Studios, is set to release this November with a full-fledged career mode, extensive mod support across platforms, and a focus on realistic driving physics.

Straight4 Studios' sim racer Project Motor Racing is officially set to launch on November 25, 2025, for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. The publisher, Giants Software, announced alongside the release date that the game will release with full mod support across all platforms, plus a newly revealed Career Mode, which looks to be quite a substantial addition to the game, judging by the reveal trailer.

Full Mod Support at Launch

One of Project Motor Racing’s standout features will certainly be full modding support at launch. Since the game is being built on the GIANTS Engine - known from the Farming Simulator series - the modding possibilities will be almost endless, allowing players to create, upload, and download mods through the official UGC (User-Generated Content) Portal.

Mods will be curated and tested by the developers before becoming available for download, offering a controlled yet creative space for user content. GIANTS Software have highlighted their expertise in community-led content, with over 4.5 billion mod downloads from previous titles. The same infrastructure is now being applied to the racing sim space.

A Career Mode with Real Consequences

Project Motor Racing will also launch with a single-player career mode that aims to reflect the challenges of professional motorsport. Players will manage not just races, but the risks associated with them, such as repair costs, sponsorships, and the impact of poor results.

According to Game Design Director Austin Ogonoski, the goal is to replicate the pressures of real-world racing. "Budgets, repairs, and strategic decisions all matter," he explains. "It’s not just about winning races - it’s about managing your career over the long haul."
