Sony might have something new to showcase and the upcoming Game Awards show could be the perfect place for such a reveal.
The Game Awards is quickly becoming one of the biggest gaming shows in the world with more than 83 million live streams for its 2020 show. This year, the host Geoff Keighley and TGA team expect another record-breaking number of viewers which is why the big publishers are starting to bring more and more reveals to the show.
Sony dropped Ghost of Tsushima's Revival trailer in 2019 while Microsoft used to opportunity to announce their next-gen console Xbox Series X at last year's event.
It's safe to say that in December 2021, we can also expect some huge announcements from both parties and some insiders have already started to tease these potential reveals. PlayStation insider Millie A seems to be hinting at PlayStation appearance at the show in some big way.
Now, what exactly does Sony plan to showcase at the show, it remains to be seen but we would not be surprised if there's a new game announcement coming or even a cool update on Haven Studios PS5 project.
Personally, I'm still waiting for that Bloodborne 60 FPS remaster, which will hopefully arrive at PC too.
As always with rumours and insider info, take this with a grain of salt since PlayStation have not officially confirmed that they will be at The Game Awards 2021.
