PlayStation Studios head Hermen Hulst has confirmed that PlayStation exclusives will be coming to PC but not on launch. The team will look at the right times to launch each game, he said.
More PlayStation exclusives are coming to PC but as expected, they will not be launching simultaneously with the PlayStation version. We will probably have to wait a year or two for the port, similar to how Sony released Guerilla's Horizon Zero Dawn and Bend Studio's Days Gone on Steam and Epic Games Store.
According to PlayStation Studios head, Hermen Hulst, Sony are still early in their planning for PC but will continue to look at the right times to launch each exclusive.
He also made it clear that the PlayStation console will get PlayStation Studios' games first, as expected.
"I want to emphasize that PlayStation will remain the best place to play our PlayStation Studios titles at launch. But we do value PC gamers, and we’ll continue to look at the right times to launch each game. Bend Studio just released the PC version of Days Gone on May 18. So that’s about two years after the PS4 release," Hulst said when asked about the PC ports.
He added that PlayStation aims to reach new players and allow them to explore the "great stories" that are being crafted by first-party studios. Also, worry not PlayStation fans, releasing games on PC will not come at the expense of building exciting consoles games, according to Hulst.
