Grinding Gear Games are closing out 2021 with more than one announcement and this includes the next Path of Exile expansion.

Path of Exile is looking at the next expansion at some point during early February 2022. Considering the month only has 28 days, it's safe to assume that "early" means within the first 14 days of the month. Still, with Coronavirus spawning mutations as it sees fit, there is no telling whether or how it will disrupt the world next.

Anyway, the early February launch means that the Scourge League will be extended by at least two weeks so you will have to wait a little bit longer for new content than what may have been expected before.

One thing that GGG are sure of is the usual live stream announcement that proceeds the expansion launch and it will happen this time around as well. This event doesn't have an exact date yet but the devs are undoubtedly going to announce it beforehand. It will feature some Twitch drops so if you're in it for the loot, you might want to keep an eye out for GGG socials.

Besides the expansion, GGG stated that the testing phase for Hard Mode will happen at some point before the 3.17 expansion so we are about one month away before that happens.

Before that, players can check out the Delirium Everywhere event that will be running over the weekend as 2021 turns into 2022.
