Grinding Gear Games have today showcased two new weapon types - Spears and Crossbows - that will be available in their upcoming hack and slash RPG Path of Exile 2.
Back at ExileCon, we got to see Path of Exile 2's first gameplay showcase which was set in the dark forests of the Island of Ogham. The latest showcase got released today and it takes place in the ancient dunes of the Vastiri Desert.
In addition to the new location, the gameplay overview also reveals brand new weapon types - Spears and Crossbows - and some new skills and attacks to demonstrate Path of Exile 2's next-generation action combat. Check out the gameplay in the video above.
We have to say that the art style looks absolutely superb and it's definitely a proper upgrade over the Path of Exile visuals. As for the new weapons, the Spear definitely looks like something that we will try once the game arrives. The weapon emphasises movement and using it can result in some spectacular moves especially if there's a swarm of enemies around you, which is like 99 per cent of the time in Path of Exile

Path of Exile 2 is currently in development for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. The game does not have a specific release date just yet but Grinding Gear Games said they could start a Beta sometime in 2022 at the earliest.
