The supernatural thriller by Night School Studio, Oxenfree tells the story of Alex who brings her new stepbrother to a party taking place on an old military island. Strange events are set in motion when the group of teenagers accidentally opens a ghost rift. The player chooses Alex's path through a conversation system which affects character relationships and the story.

An old radio makes it possible to communicate with the unleashed ghosts and solve various puzzles. The game features multiple endings based on the player's decisions. Each ending affects the lives of the entire group.
