Blizzard Entertainment has announced plans to go live with Overwatch 2's Spellbinder Season 13 on October 15th. The season leans into the Halloween spirit, but there won't be a new update for the PvE Junkenstein's Revenge. In its place, a new PvP mode called Junkenstein's Laboratory will be available in its stead.
This new mode is essentially a Team Deathmatch with a twist, as character abilities are amplified with unique Mutations. An example would be that Reinhardt's Charge now causes an explosion after he has pinned an enemy to a wall, and Reaper regains his old Soul Orb passive.
The mode will run until November 4th, but popular PvE modes such as Junkenstein's Revenge and Wrath of the Bridge will run the duration of the season.
The newest Mythic skin of the season is for the character of Widowmaker; it reflects her transition from apprentice in potions-making to a dark magic master.
On a different note, players who have completed their Mythic Hero Skins will once again gain the most from all-new Gilded Aspects. Special aspects are sleek in black and gold colors, and Mythic Weapons obtain similar treatment not too far in the future.
It will be accompanied by a balance patch once Season 13 gets underway, filled with updates and tweaks. More importantly, perhaps, a My Hero Academia collaboration will launch on October 17th.
Which means, with all these added features, plus new content, Overwatch 2 Season 13 is going to be quite an action-filled experience.
