OFFICIAL: Battlefield 2042 trailer, release date and editions revealed

Battlefield 2042 is set to launch on October 22, 2021, it's been confirmed by EA and DICE in today's reveal stream. The game is coming to PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S.

The long wait is finally over. It has been officially announced that we are getting a brand new Battlefield game this year and today, EA and DICE have shared a bunch of new details about Battlefield 2042, which is the official name of the new title.

Battlefield 2042 is set to launch on October 22, 2021 for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S. EA also shared pre-order details as well as game editions -  Standard, Gold and Ultimate Edition will be available for purchase. 

As for the trailer, it looks pretty spectacular as you have probably expected from Dice. It's jam-packed with action, featuring huge maps, tanks, jets and intense infantry fights. Check it out below:

The official description states that once again the USA and Russia are on the brink of the war and also mention Specialists which will have unique skills. 

"U.S.A. and Russia stand at the brink of war. Proxy wars have waged for decades, generating experienced but displaced combat veterans. These Specialists use their skills to shape the future — a future worth fighting for."

The game will also feature Battle Pass and seasonal content, which will include new specialists, skins, new weapons and much more. 

All in all, Battlefield 2042 looks quite promising and we cannot wait to see more in the coming days at Summer Game Fest and Xbox Game Showcase.
