Call of Duty: Modern Warfare has a lot of problems with spawns on certain maps, mostly smaller ones but the latest introduction of the good old Shipment revealed just how big of an issue the spawn system actually is.
Yesterday, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare received another big content update, which introduced three new maps, including the winter-themed Gunfight map Winter Docks. On top of this, the Season One refresh brought a brand new Operator Nikto and free gifts for everyone.
One of the new maps is actually an old map from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. Named Shipment, it's been re-introduced to the latest instalment of Modern Warfare with a couple of tweaks here and there. And while the map does bring back the explosive and chaotic gameplay which the original map was known for, Shipment also reveals just how big the spawn system in Infinity Ward's latest shooter actually is.
The spawns are particularly a problem on smaller maps such as Shoot House and Shipment is one of these smaller maps. Over at Modern Warfare subreddit, players started posting an absurd amount of videos, showcasing exactly the same thing - spawns problem on the new map.
In , you can see that in less than twenty seconds, one player gets killed five times, almost instantly after he spawns. He only manages to get a couple of shots before he's eliminated. It's a frustrating experience, to say the least, and hopefully, the spawns carnage on Shipment will finally open the eyes of the devs so the game gets some tweaks so smaller maps can be enjoyed without these frustrating issues.
Infinity Ward are yet to acknowledge Shipment spawns issues but if these continue in the next few days, it's safe to say that some sort of fix or a tweak should be coming soon.
