Developer Player First Games and publisher Warner Bros. have announced that Multiversus open beta is coming to a close on June 25, 2023.
Multiversus Open Beta, which took the world by storm when it launched a couple of months ago, is coming to an end this summer on June 25, 2023, developer Player First Games and publisher Warner Bros. announced today via their official blog.
The team also announced that the game is heading towards its full launch which is coming sometime in early 2024 at the earliest. There is no specific release date just yet.
Player First Games say they still have plenty of work to do for Multiversus. Their focus will now be on new characters, maps and game modes to give players more ways to play. Additionally, an updated netcode and matchmaking improvements are also planned.
Players who were not happy with the progression system will be glad to hear that the team will be reworking the progression system based on the player feedback.
All these planned improvements and tweaks are the reason why the dev team must shut the open beta later this summer. As part of this, the team will pause updates and take the game offline entirely.
During this downtime, all online modes and features will be unavailable. Players will have limited offline access to the training room (known as The Lab) and local matches, along with access to your characters and cosmetic items within these modes.
