Capcom have finally rolled out the 5.2 update to Monster Hunter: World's Steam edition, which brings the earlier announced High Resolution Texture Pack DLC. It seems that a number of PC players hate the new post-take-all menu though.

To add the shiny new textures to Monster Hunter: World, you just download the High Resolution Texture Pack like any other DLC.

Once it's downloaded, head over to options > display >advanced graphics settings and adjust it to your liking.

You might want to check whether your hardware can match your aesthetic preferences though, unless, of course, you really like downloading a 40GB Capcom surprise.

Capcom's minimum specs list Core i5-4460 at 3.2GHz or AMD FX-6300, while the recommended specs went for i7-3770 @ 3.4GHz / i3-8350 4GHz / AMD Ryzen 5 1500X.

Back when they announced the , Capcom stressed that it will require at least 8GB of VRAM to run. Minimum recommended graphics are Nvidia GTX 1070 / RX Vega56, but the dev recommends GTX 1080Ti / AMD Radeon VII.

As for the rest of Monster Hunter: World's 5.2 update, it adds TAA+FXAA option to the advanced graphics section and "a meter to the Advanced Graphics Settings menu that shows how much PC VRAM (graphics memory) you're using with the currently applied settings."

If you've got better hardware than Capcom recommends, then all the better, because you might end up needing that extra juice to compensate for Monster Hunter: World's optimisation.

Unfortunately, it seems that Steam's Monster Hunter: World players hate the newly added list of all items, which appears after choosing "Take All" at the rewards screen.

It only seems to add an unnecessary click, which makes us wonder whether Capcom even tried this one out before rolling it out on Steam.

Capcom also announced that Arch Tempered Kulve Taroth will be roaming around GabeN's neck of the woods starting on Friday, 19 April 2019. Monster hunters will require at least HR 16 to take on this quest.
