Monster Hunter: World's Iceborne expansion has received its first free Title Update, adding the new monster Rajang, new end game area Guiding Lands: Volcanic Region, as well as their Resident Evil crossover, i.e. Raccoon City Collaboration Event Quest.
In order to face Rajang though, Iceborne players need to finish the main story campaign. In other words, you need to solve the mystery of the Old Everwyrm and pay the Guiding Lands a visit at least once.
"Once you feel ready for a brutal fight against one of the strongest monsters in the world of Monster Hunter, head over to Seliana and speak the Admiral to begin your quest. Defeating this ultra-aggressive foe will, of course, yield materials to craft some of the most powerful weapons and armor in the game", Capcom wrote.
Monster Hunter: World's expansion owners will find that the Guiding Lands are getting an expansion, a challenging one at that. As you'd expect from a sizzling-hot biome, expect fiery monsters as well, like Lavasioth, Uragaan and Brachydios.
Raccoon City collaboration Event Quest will also be available for a limited time to Iceborne owners. "Take on this peculiar Blackveil Vaal Hazak, to get materials to craft Full Armor Sets based on iconic Raccoon City survivors Leon S. Kennedy and Claire Redfield. Other rewards include some fanciful Raccoon City themed pendants for your weapons", the announcement reads.
Capcom also addressed the issues with DirectX 12 API framerate stability and the issue where screenshots were saved in a wrong location.
Monster Hunter World: Iceborne's annual Appreciation Fest is ongoing and you can learn more about it here . Steam players can also look forward to full content-syncing with consoles from April, which Capcom confirmed in their latest roadmap .
