We guess Microsoft weren't kidding when they said they'll go as big as they ever did at E3, and the company will be presenting as much as 14 games this year. They didn't say which ones exactly, but we've got a few obvious suspects lined up.

Head of Xbox Phil Spencer tweeted, "Just finishing our final E3 rehearsal here with the team in Redmond. Feel really good about the briefing. Lots to show. We have 14 Xbox Game Studios games in the show this year, more first party games than we've ever had in the show."

He also said "fun times" and it certainly seems so for Xbox Game Studios, a group that holds 13 studios, including the likes of Sea of Thieves dev Rare and Halo's 343 Industries, to name but a few.

In fact, Halo Infinite is among the games we expect to hear more about at E3, as well as Gears 5 by The Coalition, but obviously - 14 games across 13 studios is enough of a sign that Microsoft's Xbox alliance is firing on all cylinders, and then some.

Microsoft has faced quite a bit of criticism for losing the exclusivity war against Sony, and this advantage has never been more evident than in these past years.

Horizon: Zero Dawn, Detroit: Become Human, God of War, Spider-Man, Days Gone - there's no doubt Sony have been on a roll, even if Quantic Dream's recent decision to bring it to PC makes Detroit: Become Human a timed PS4 exclusive.

Microsoft have been trying to amend that and their shopping spree resulted in a group of 13 top notch studios, and some of the most lucrative IPs around. Mojang, for instance, is the developer of Minecraft, which is officially the game ever.

Sony decided E3 isn't working for them , so Microsoft won't get to rub it in their face, but the recent developments in regards to their sort of put the entire competition thing in question. And thought so too.
