Two of the finest RPGs in recent memory are joining forces. ATLUS and Sandfall Interactive have released a Steam bundle combining Metaphor: ReFantazio and Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 at 10% off, with players who already own either title able to purchase the other at the same discount.
The timing is particularly generous for newcomers. Metaphor: ReFantazio is currently 50% off on Steam until February 26, making this arguably the best moment to jump into either game.
Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 carries a separate 10% discount until February 16, with bundle buyers receiving an additional 10% on top. The collaboration carries genuine warmth beyond the commercial arrangement.
Metaphor creative director Katsura Hashino praised Expedition 33 as "a work that conveys a deep understanding of and sincere dedication to the JRPG genre," calling it "truly inspiring."
Sandfall CEO Guillaume Broche returned the sentiment enthusiastically, describing Metaphor as featuring "one of the most charismatic villains I've ever seen in an RPG" and crediting his love for ATLUS dating back to Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne.
Between them, these two games dominated recent awards seasons. Expedition 33 swept The Game Awards 2025 taking home Game of the Year, Best RPG, and Best Game Direction amongst others, whilst Metaphor claimed Best RPG, Best Narrative, and Best Art Direction at The Game Awards 2024.
Bundling them together represents a remarkable value proposition for anyone who missed either release. The bundle is available now on Steam.
