The first gameplay trailer will give players the chance to see how Spider-Man will fight in the hero shooter Marvel Rivals. Spider-Man will be one of the playable characters in the upcoming free-to-play game Marvel Rivals, and now we've got a sneak peek at his skills and fighting style.
Just recently, Marvel Rivals has started with the individual introduction of its playable characters. Not that Marvel's superheroes and antiheroes need any special introduction, but it's useful to know what roles they will play and what abilites they will have.
First up is the well-known Spider-Man, who will play the role of Duelist in the game. These characters are focused on inflicting maximum damage on the opponent, and Spidey will do this with his fists, legs and web.
His special skill will be running on walls, as well as quickly pulling forward. Interestingly, Spider-Man is treated as Peter Parker here, which means we will see his other costumed releases as well.
Among them is the famous Bag-Man, who will be recognized by comic book readers. Marvel Rivals will be a team multiplayer game from the third person, with 6v6 battles and destructible parts of the maps.
Spider-Man will have two abilities: Spider Sense and Wall Crawl. Spider Sense will alarm him of nearby enemies, while Wall Crawl will enable him to climb any wall. Spider-Man will also have a Thwip and Flip ability that allows him to perform double jumps.
His ultimate ability will be called "Get Over Here!" and will allow him to pull his enemies towards himself, thus enabling him to combat them on close-quarters.
It is intended as a free-to-play title, currently without a set release date. It was initially announced for the PC platform, but it was later confirmed that it will also appear on the PlayStation 5 and XS consoles.
