IO Interactive's official 007 First Light social media account prematurely posted a video revealing musician Lenny Kravitz as villain Bawma. The clip shows Bawma's forces trapping Bond in Mauritania ahead of what's likely a full trailer reveal at tonight's Game Awards.

IO Interactive accidentally revealed Lenny Kravitz plays a villain in 007 First Light through a brief video posted - and quickly removed - from the game's official Twitter account (via ResetEra). The clip introduces antagonist Bawma delivering a monologue to a trapped Bond in Mauritania, which is probably what we'll see at tonight's Game Awards show.

Editor's note: We're describing the leaked content rather than posting screenshots or video out of respect for potential DMCA concerns from the publisher. The official reveal will likely arrive at tonight's Game Awards with proper marketing materials.

The leaked footage shows Bawma commanding warriors who've cornered Bond in an "impossible situation." Bawma delivers villain monologue whilst planning Bond's execution, suggesting he's either the game's primary antagonist or a significant regional threat within the broader narrative.

Lenny Kravitz will join quite the prestigious company portraying a Bond antagonist. Recent 007 films featured acclaimed actors including Mads Mikkelsen (Casino Royale), Javier Bardem (Skyfall), Christoph Waltz (Spectre), and Rami Malek (No Time to Die) as memorable villains.

Judging by everything we know so far, 007 First Light is shaping up to be quite the Bond adventure

Regarding Kravitz's gaming credentials, well, they are fairly remain limited. He previously appeared as himself in NBA 2K13's soundtrack and various music rhythm games featuring his songs, but this marks his first substantial role in a narrative-driven game.

007 First Light launches March 27, 2026 across PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC.
