In the latest Capcom leak, which revealed a ton of info about the publisher's upcoming project, there's also a reference to Street Fighter 6, which is rumoured to be in development.
We've already heard some rumours and solid information from reliable sources about Capcom's next Street Fighter game. Apparently, the game was supposed to release next year but sadly, wasn't received well internally and with testers due to a certain team mechanic in the game, which the devs focused on.
Capcom did not plan to release another season for Street Fighter 5 but due to the development issues with Street Fighter 6, they decided to drop another update to buy more time for developers who are "fixing" the game.
The publisher are yet to officially announce the game but the project is indeed real according to insiders and today, we have more proof of that. In the recent Capcom leaked documents, players have found references to Street Fighter 6. Check them out in the screenshot below:
As you can see, it isn't much but it confirms that testers at Keywords Studios have tested the game, which is basically what the insiders have been telling us for quite some time now.
At the moment, the details about Street Fighter 6 are pretty scarce which is expected since the game is yet to be officially announced. We assume the game will be a full next-gen title since the release date is probably set for late 2021 or early 2022.
