The League of Legends Patch 25.07 introduces a crucial mini-rework for Yorick. Riot plans to update Yorick with significant modifications to his abilities, Mist Walkers and his R - Maiden to enhance his gameplay viability and engagement.
After his VGU in Patch 6.18 Yorick could not achieve a stable position in the meta. A double jungle camp strategy which some players tested led to a Riot nerf that resulted in another decrease of Yorick's play rate.
Riot intends to reduce Yorick's dependence on niche tactics through this rework to broaden his appeal among players.
Patch 25.07 Yorick Mini-Rework – Full Changes
Base Stats
- Armor growth: 4.5 → 5.2
Passive – Shepherd of Souls
- Graves per death: The graves Yorick can claim per death will increase from 8 minus 2 per level to 12 at level 1 followed by 6 at level 4 and then 2 at level 7.
- Mist Walker Attack Damage: The Mist Walker Attack Damage scale changed from 15 to 75 based on level to a new range of 4 to 90 based on level.
- Mist Walker AD ratio: 20% bonus AD → 20% total AD
- Mist Walker base health: The Mist Walker's health growth is reduced from 110 to 400 based on levels to 110 to 212 based on levels.
- Mist Walker health ratio: Mist Walkers now derive 20% of Yorick’s total maximum health capacity instead of 15% from his bonus health pool.
- Mist Walker Attack Speed: Mist Walker Attack Speed remains 0.5 throughout but scales from 0.5 to 1.18 depending on the level.
- New Effect: The Attack Speed of Mist Walker now increases proportionally with Yorick’s complete bonus Attack Speed.
- Monster damage reduction: 60% → 50%
- Minions now cause Mist Walkers to take 40% damage (introduced as new feature).
- Removed: Single-target spells cannot instantly defeat Mist Walkers anymore.
- New Weakness: Melee auto-attacks inflict 100% additional damage on Mist Walkers.
Q – Last Rites
- AD ratio: 50% AD → 40% AD
- Cooldown: The ability cooldown has been updated from 6 / 5.5 / 5 / 4.5 / 4 seconds to 7 / 6.25 / 5.5 / 4.75 / 4 seconds.
- New Effect: The ability generates a grave when it deals damage to champions or large monsters
E – Mourning Mist
- Removed: No longer deals 15% current HP damage
- New Effect: The ability now delivers base damage amounts of 70, 105, 140, 175, or 210.
- AP ratio: 100% AP → 70% AP
- New Effect: This effect lowers target’s armor by 18% for 4 seconds and increases the reduction to 21%, 24%, 27%, and 30% for the same duration.
- Bonus movement speed: 30% → 20%
R – Eulogy of the Isles
- Mark damage: The R ability Eulogy of the Isles now deals damage scaling from 2% to 3% of the target's maximum HP in increments of 0.25%.
- Maiden base attack damage: 60 / 90 / 120 → 0 / 10 / 40
- Maiden AD ratio: 30% bonus AD → 50% total AD
- Maiden base health: Yorick's Maiden now starts with health ranging from 400 to 1650 depending on level instead of the previous 1050 to 3150.
- Maiden health ratio: The Maiden health ratio will now draw from 60% of Yorick’s maximum health instead of his bonus health.
Release Date
The Yorick mini-rework will be implemented through Patch 25.07 which launches on April 2, 2025. This update will restore Yorick to the meta while enhancing his consistency and playability as a champion.
