Riot Games prepares for another chaotic April Fools event in League of Legends. Players will find a fresh game mode and exciting Summoner’s Rift updates in this year’s release alongside five new champion skins.
Riot Games will add a special Party Drake and surprise Shaco Boxes to their wacky game mode while making unique ARAM adjustments. Throughout the event players will encounter comical interactions along with speed boosts and unusual terrain modifications.
New themed skins are a traditional part of any April Fools event. Shaco earns a Legendary skin in the current event while Urgot, Naafiri, Braum and Malphite get Epic skins.
April Fools 2025: New Game Mode & Event Changes
The 2025 event transforms Summoner’s Rift with a fresh Party Drake and Shaco’s Mayhem while featuring ARAM modifications.
New Party Drake
The Party Drake takes the place of Cloud Drake and brings distinct buffs to the game.
Dragon Slayer Buff: The Dragon Slayer Buff provides players with a Party Favor Item while generating a disco aura around their minions.
Party Soul Effect: Speed increases when near allies while providing additional attack damage and ability power which scale with the speed boost.
Terrain Changes:
- Movement speed buffs become accessible when Disco Pads generate within both the base and jungle environments.
- Your base features a Duckie Disco Ball that increases movement speed when activated by clicking.
Shaco’s Mayhem – Random Box Buffs
- The Random Cat Shaco Boxes generate across lanes and deliver entertaining effects for players.
- Collecting them delivers six unique adorable buffs.
- Minor Party Favor Items are given for every accumulation of 10 stacks.
ARAM Changes
- Shaco Boxes spawn across the map.
- Summoner Haste increased to 200%.
- Cappa Juice remains available for purchase at 300 gold and has no stacking restrictions.
- Summoner Snowball gets a new visual update.
Pengu Garen – Limited-Time Event Champion
Players can choose Pengu Garen for two weeks through special interactions with Cat-in-the-Box Shaco.
April Fools 2025 Skins
Five new skins including a Legendary Shaco skin and four Epic skins will be released by Riot for this event.
Cat-in-the-Box Shaco (Legendary) – 1820 RP
The design includes a complete animated model along with various special effects.
Urgot the Clogfather (Epic) – 1350 RP
The Epic skin Urgot the Clogfather presents a humorous version of Urgot based on traditional ‘clog’ style.
Grill Master Braum (Epic) – 1350 RP
The new food-themed skin allows Braum to bring BBQ vibes into the Rift.
Glizzy Naafiri (Epic) – 1350 RP
With a hot dog-themed appearance Naafiri transforms her ultimate ability into a more savory experience rather than a lethal one.
Pool Party Malphite (Epic) – 1350 RP
Malphite becomes part of the Pool Party collection as he receives a tropical-themed redesign.
Release Date
Patch 25.07 will deliver the April Fools game mode and skins to players on April 2, 2025.
