League of Legends Quickplay mode: Release times by regions

While it's unclear which regions will get Quickplay first, larger servers like EUW and KR may have priority, while servers with smaller populations like SG and Japan might receive it later.

Summoner’s Rift and ARAM have been the go-to game modes in League of Legends. Summoner's Rift offers both regular and ranked matches, with two types of queues for regular games: blind pick and draft pick.

Blind pick has been popular for players who want to enjoy their favorite champions without bans. However, it has its issues, including competition for preferred positions, potential champion conflicts, and dodging, which wastes time.

Riot has developed Quickplay to address these problems by replacing blind pick. Quickplay will allow players to select two positions and champions in the lobby, offering a more streamlined experience.

Release by Region

Quickplay will be introduced region by region in a staggered manner, starting from Patch 13.22. This means that not all regions will have access to the game mode immediately. The blind pick queue will be permanently disabled to make room for Quickplay.

In addition, Quickplay will expand its free-to-play champion rotation to include additional champion pools, making it easier for new players to test a wide range of champions. Surrendering will also be available in this mode after 10 minutes with the agreement of 4 players, and after 20 minutes with the agreement of 3 players.

Known Bugs in Quickplay

New features often come with some bugs, and Quickplay is no exception. Riot has already identified some known bugs, including:

  • Consecutive chroma purchases in the Quickplay lobby may temporarily lock out the chroma purchase ability.
  • Chroma preferences don't save when switching to a different skin.

While these issues may impact players who frequently use chroma for their champion skins, there don't appear to be any known gameplay-related bugs at the moment. However, as Quickplay is gradually released and players provide feedback, more issues may surface.
