Project L has been in the making for three years now, or at least that's how long has passed since its teaser. Will the game come out sooner than we could have ever expected?

There has not been a lot of news regarding Project L from Riot Games . This is to be expected, however, as they have said that they are going dark in their teaser all those years ago. However, some rumors have come out which implicate that the  League of Legends -derived game may be coming at this year's EVO, or at the very least, a more in-depth showcase.

To reiterate, Project L is a placeholder name for a game that was announced alongside the  League of Legends MMORPG in the making, alongside Wild Rift, and Valorant.

Since then the only thing we've been told is that the game will be a tag-team style fighting game, where you’ll build and pilot a team of two different champions.

In their last talk to the fan base, they've stated that the updates will take place sometime early in the second half of 2022. With EVO coming up in August, that is likely when we will see a more in-depth showcase of what the game is all about.

This year's EVO will take place on the weekend of August 5. Seeing that EVO is the largest fighting game event in the world, and one of the oldest Esports events as well, there is no better place for Riot to show what they have in store, but there.

Not to mention that they've also done research at similar events in the past, regarding Project L in the first place, and it's those exact players that will give them better feedback than pure LoL players ever could.
