League of Legends Patch 26.8 will likely be on the lighter side of updates. Riot Games is only making some minor changes before the big Season patch rolls out. Instead of adding sweeping changes to how players approach games, Patch 26.8 has them performing buffs and nerfs.
The April 15 update will feel more like a spruce-up patch rather than completely changing the meta. This smaller patch will continue Riot’s current trend of solidifying the state of League before rolling out larger systemic changes. Those updates are planned for Patch 26.9 later this month.
Patch 26.8 is Small By Design
As the name suggests, there aren’t many changes between Patch 26.7 and Patch 26.8. Riot Games has opted to leave the game alone longer this season and only made a handful of champion changes.
This was done so players could feel more comfortable before the next Season patch changes a lot of systems.
Here are the buffs and nerfs for Patch 26.8:
Buffs
- Hwei
- Lillia
- Lucian
- Viego
Nerfs
- Mel
- Dr. Mundo
Yuumi Change And Bug Fix
The Yuumi adjustment is connected to a bug fix which was causing her ultimate to overly heal her attached ally.Without that bug, Riot is giving her some small buffs to help compensate and keep her upkeleld.
She’s one of the more intriguing champs to look at from this patch for that reason.
Patch 26.8 Release Date
League of Legends Patch 26.8 is looking to go live on April 15 as per Riot’s normal patch cycle.
