The upcoming League of Legends Patch 26.7 will be a relatively small one on paper, but it serves a larger purpose than many may think. Riot will be homing in on specific issues with the current meta rather than trying to completely revamp it.
Whether it’s champion tuning or the latest Shyvana adjustments, expect another data-driven patch that aims to strengthen the current state of League of Legends 2026.
Patch 26.7 Buffs and Nerfs
Riot is doubling down on ensuring role diversity while toning down certain picks.
Buffs:
- Cassiopeia
- Kalista
- Rell
Nerfs:
- Graves
- Karma
- Nami
- Ornn
- Singed
- Veigar
Specifically, Cassiopeia is seeing a buff due to Riot fearing we don’t have enough AP junglers/mid diversity. Nerfs and buffs to Kalista and Rell point to Riot trying to balance bot lanes.
On the nerf front, Riot is continuing to keep an eye on ranged supports like Karma and Nami. They are also continuing to see Graves and Ornn hit.
Shyvana Adjustments Continue
Shyvana is one champ that Riot knows they still need to work on. Even though she was hotfixed quickly after her rework, she’s still not where Riot wants her to be overall.
They’re looking at her viability in different roles, such as top/jungle. They also want to work on her passive and decrease the amount of frustration she can cause.
Giving her more counterplay around her kit is another goal as well.Small micropatch incoming because these things are wild, even post-launchPlayers recently discovered an interaction between Shyvana and Sylas that was unintentional, so a small patch will likely be coming to fix that as well.
A Careful Meta Adjustment
Patch 26.7 isn’t looking to change the game completely. Instead, Riot seems to be carefully tuning what they feel is already a healthy meta. They don’t want to remove any options that are working, they just want to add more.
We should have more numbers soon to see exactly what changes, but this patch has the potential to greatly influence how the next few weeks of League plays.
