The well-known YouTuber Jimmy "MrBeast" Donaldson plans to buy an LCS team because he wants to influence the professional League of Legends and Riot Games world.
During his latest appearance on the Clickbaited podcast MrBeast spoke about his deep love for League of Legends alongside his strategic approach to creating a team that can win championships.
MrBeast's passion for League of Legends dates back to his early years when he aimed to become a professional player and he has maintained his enthusiasm as an avid player for more than 13 years. His enthusiasm for League of Legends stayed constant despite never moving past the Platinum rank.
According to MrBeast it will take between three and four more years before he can purchase an LCS team. "My goal is to spend massive amounts on player salaries while spoiling them with benefits and acquiring top international talent to compete seriously for the Worlds championship", he said.
His passion for League of Legends serves as his primary motivation over any financial benefits. MrBeast shows eagerness to fund an LCS team but remains aware of the esports scene's current condition.
He highlighted his worries about decreasing audiences and the general condition of the League of Legends competitive sphere. "The esports scene requires us to maintain its energetic momentum. I'm determined to prevent a drop in viewership because I don't want to acquire a team that wins Worlds only to find out no one cares anymore and everyone declares League's death. One day, I'll step in."

He stated that his dedication exists exclusively for League of Legends by declaring, "The esports world doesn't drive me; I'm all about League of Legends." League of Legends is the sole reason behind my participation."
