Former Misfits Gaming AD carry, Neon, reportedly reached verbal agreements on signing for Team Vitality. He will be replacing Carzzy, who is going back to his former team - Mad Lions.
LEC League of Legends teams are getting prepared for the upcoming LEC 2023 season. Some players have already reached verbal agreements with determined teams, according to reports, and another one has been added to the growing list.
Alejandro Gomis reported on Twitter that former Misfits ADC Matúš “Neon” Jakubčík is set to join Team Vitality for the 2023 LEC season. Neon will be replacing Carzzy as Carzzy is set to come back to his former team Mad Lions.
In 2022, Vitality built what was supposed to be a “super team” made up of strong talents, including Alphari and Perkz. This didn't go well for Vitality, as they failed to reach the playoffs in LEC 2022 Summer split.
Neon is the latest reported addition to Vitality’s roster for next year. Neon will be pairing up with former MAD Lions’ support Kaiser in the bot lane.
The roster will be completed by Chinese jungler Zhou “Bo” Yang-Bo and T1 Challengers’ top laner Kyeong “Photon” Gyu-tae.
All of these roster changes are still uncertain, as these changes are reached by verbal agreements. The Official League of Legends Esports offseason starts on Monday, November 21. During his year in Misfits, Neon solidified himself as one of the top AD Carries in the LEC.
He was the top player in the league in Damage share in the 2022 LEC Summer split, dealing 30.5% of his entire team’s damage. It shows how important he was to Misfits, and Vitality hopes he can continue his form in 2023.
