THQ Nordic released an FAQ that provided a lot of interesting information, such as the fact that the consoles of current generation will have improved frame rate in Kingdoms of Amalur Re-Reckoning.
Kingdoms of Amalur Reckoning followed the regular console standards back when it was released, meaning the game was limited to 30 FPS. That said, it was released in 2012, meaning it was available on the previous generation.
Re-Reckoning, however, is coming to PS4 and Xbox One, both of which are notably stronger than their previous-gen counterparts so it was to be expected that the frame rate would be better but there were still doubts since the graphics will get improved as well. THQ Nordic dispelled those fears in an FAQ that confirmed PS4 and Xbox One will "have improved render outputs and a higher framerate".
In case you are wondering about the studio handling the port, it is KAIKO, the same people who worked on Darksiders Warmastered Edition and Red Faction Guerrilla Re-Mars-Tered. Judging by their previous works, they seem to be a bit more successful than the people making the punny names for THQ's remasters.
While the remaster names of dad joke calibre may not sit well with everyone, their decisions regarding distribution certainly will since the FAQ states that there are no plans for any exclusive deal.
While "no plans" doesn't sound entirely conclusive, it might be worth it to consider that the FAQ is on a Steam post and Kingdoms of Amalur Re-Reckoning is due for release on September 8, 2020, so there isn't much time to hash out an exclusivity deal at this point.
