Kingdom Come: Deliverance could find its way to the Nintendo Switch console, as early as next month, if the leak from the Japanese eShop turns out to be true.
One of the more popular open-world RPGs lately, Kingdom Come: Deliverance, has leaked on the Japanese eShop for the Nintendo Switch.
Kingdom Come: Deliverance is not at the very top of cream RPGs, but the game is well enough known to all fans of the genre, and at one time it was quite streamed. The scores the game received from the reviewers varied, and they stayed at a solid 7, so to speak, but the scores from the players were always much higher.
The 'Very Positive' reaction from Steam users on the game's official Steam page says that developer Warhorse Studios and publisher Deep Silver have done a really good job with this medieval RPG from 2018.
That this is not the end of the Kingdom Come: Deliverance's story is also told by the latest leak on the Japanese eShop store for the Nintendo Switch, where Kingdom Come: Deliverance is listed with the release dated February 18, 2021.
The eShop leak specifies the game as the Royal Edition, about which we have absolutely no information because that version of the game has not been released for any other platform so far. Is it a special Switch version, eg Cloud-based (like Control)? Or some 'definitive' version that could come out for all platforms? We’ll probably find out very soon, judging by the game’s launch date.
What worries us is what the performance on the Switch will be for such a big open-world game, and we know that KCD is not known as the most optimized game in the world. At least it hat a bumpy launch, optimization-wise. However, it is not the first game running on CryEngine to get its Switch port (Crysis Remaster, Warface).
