Halo Infinite will see a new season on October 17, 2023, and it will bring a lot of changes but the highlight is probably the mini overhaul of M392 Bandit.
As 343 Industries announced, the weapon will not be as reliable at range and have worse TTK but it will get some adjustments to help struggling teams out of their base.
M392 changes in Season 5
- Rate of fire: 3.0 -> 2.9 rounds per second or 180 -> 174 rounds per minute (RPM)
- Rounds total initial: 45 -> 60
- Rounds total maximum: 60 -> 75
- Eliminated progressive recoil
- Reduced bloom/error angles
- Zoom magnification 1.4x Iron Sight -> 1.6x Holopoint Sight
- Added descope
- Reticle rework
The gun's DPS has been reduced by just 3.3 per cent which shouldn't affect its performance too much but on the flip side, it will have more ammo at the start and you will be able to carry more for it overall. Without progressive recoil and lower bloom, the bullets should hit their marks more often, counteracting the lower DPS and potentially increasing the effective DPS as you will not miss as often.
This way, the battle rifle is stepping into the DMR zone, especially because you can now get descoped upon taking hits but with the holosight, it should also be easier to land shots at longer range.
On top of it all, the reticle has been reworked, completing the weapon's transformation to its new version.
Don't miss:
