Godfall is an action-RPG that's set to launch on PlayStation 5 and PC later this year, and you've probably seen the leaked snipped and subsequent trailer. If that got you hyped, though, then we've got great news straight from the horse's mouth.
Namely, both the short snippet and the full trailer are more than a year old, and while they're properly representative of where Godfall was at the time, the real thing is apparently much better. Oh and the video above is the reveal trailer from before - you can find the aforementioned on the provided links.
It's not exactly common to see developers react to these leaks as enthusiastically as Counterplay Games did, but it's easy to see where they're coming from. After all, seeing such a massively positive reaction to Godfall is a confirmation that they're doing really good work.
"We can confirm that the circulating trailer is year-old PC footage used as part of an internal presentation. We are energized by your excitement and look forward to showing you just how far this game has come", they tweeted, after seeing the outburst of excitement by fans all over.
To make matters even better, Counterplay Games said that fans should "stay tuned for a more detailed look", which in their words is coming soon. And seeing as how we were already excited with what was on display, we can't wait to see all the improvements they've done.
If we were to speculate, we'd say that the team learned a lot about the utilisation of PlayStation 5's resources, which Sony will be counting on in order to demonstrate just why you should choose their console over the competing products.
